Plant a tree: Start a university chapter

Our university chapters emerge when students take charge, and rally their peers to follow them into the classroom.We know there are talented musicians at your school, and we know there are kids nearby who would love to learn your trade. If you and your friends know how to play music, and play well, we bet you can also learn to teach.

Our university chapters are led by our university boards, with operational support, funding, and guidance from us. We’ve launched chapters before, are launching more now, and can assist you in launching one of your own. It’s simple, but not easy, and we’ve got your back.

Grab a shovel: join our volunteer staff

We’re a volunteer organization, founded, led, and operated primarily by volunteers. Music is spontaneous, but we need elbow grease to activate that spontaneity.

If you love what we do, help us do it better. Are you an accountant, a lawyer, or a music educator? A tech wiz, an operational guru, or a graphic designer? Do you love music and want to help pass the torch to the next generation, whatever else it is you do from 9 to 5? We’ve got work for you, and would love to have you by our side as we plant more seeds.
